The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Bayonet Blade  is present with handle secure & Scabbard complete.Item  remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Scabbard and Bayonet fit well when engaged. Blade appears in good order with minimal verdigris/ surface wear. Edge may be dulled due to usage. Mortise appears to function when engaged. NOTE : Bayonet is a conversion variant !! .

An EXCELLENT example of World War I , German Export M1903 Turkish Mauser 'Ersatz' Bayonet ( G1 FN FAL Conversion). This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with Blade appearing in good order and handle remaining securely mounted. All functional parts remain present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Surface verdigris may be present on components. Mortise appears functional when engaged. Blade edge may have become dulled over extended wear/ usage. 

This piece represents a First World War Era , M1903 Turkish Mauser Ersatz Bayonet- that was officially subject to conversion during the early 1960s by the Turkish Armed Forces.

The conversion required the mounting of an additional, lower muzzle ring - to facilitate secure fitting to the G1 ( FN FAL 7.62mm) West German supplied Assault Rifles. These pieces are few in Number and were eventually replaced by the appropriate G1 German Bayonet.
