The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Embellished Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Item remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Minimal Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Ceramic appears complete and structurally sound. Glazed surface finish is smooth and item remains in good order. Pewter cap and hinge are intact and function when engaged. Colouration remains vibrant- all Imperial Markings are present on base. 

ITEM HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO HANDLING/ EXPOSURE TO VARIED CONDITIONS.

An EXCELLENT example of World War I ,  1900s Imperial  German 'Cobalt Blue' Salt Glazed Ceramic Bier Stein. This piece appears to be in a VF  state , with detailed Graphic Design Relief on  obverse and reverse. All insignia present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Ceramic retains a wonderful Glazed lustre. Pewter cap is complete with hinge and engages well. 

This piece is adorned with a traditional Floral motif, encompassing the features of a Scwarzwald Gnome figure and various thematic symbols of nature & musical instruments. The term ' Prosit ' is evident - characterizing the old South German pronunciation. All Imperial Prussian markings are impressed on the Tankard/ Stein base. 

The item would have been utilised by a variety of German Soldiers, Sailors & Airmen during the period of 1914-18 : having  been obtained from a large  collection of German Military items. 

The ideal addition to any First World War Era, German personal memorabilia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
