These pieces are in an GOOD, USED CCONDITION-Blade is present and detailed w/ Year & Manufacturer markings . Bayonet remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Wooden grip-scales are secure and mortise is functional. Steel Scabbard remains intact- ** NOTE : INTERNAL LEAF RETENTION SPRING IS NO LONGER PRESENT. **

An EXCELLENT example of World War I , German Kaiserliche Schütztruppe Type I Sawback Bayonet w/ Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with Complete Blade featuring distinctive saw-tooth pattern. All date & manufacturers marks present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Grip-scales are secure and intact. ** PLEASE NOTE :  

THE BLADE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN NICKEL PLATED AT SOME POINT - EITHER FOR CEREMONIAL OR DRESS BAYONET PURPOSES. 

The Type I KS  Bayonet series, featured a three-pin retention configuration to secure the wooden grip-scales. The Blade also featured a long sawback length , compared to later iterations.
