An EXCELLENT example of World War 2 , 1940s German Verfügungstruppe K98 Dress Bayonet w/ Bullion Troddle & Frog. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Acid-etched Relief on blade obverse and reverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Bakelite grip scales are complete- Bullion Troddle is unit correct. Blade is exceptionally sharp and should be handled with care.
The leather frog is in good order - save for only one portion of the retention strap having expired due to age and exposure. The period of 1939-45 , saw many German Armed Forces / paramilitary organizations commissioning private dress Bayonets for personal display.
