The Raspberry Pi AI Kit bundles an M.2-format Hailo 8L AI
accelerator with the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ offering
access to excellent inferencing performance on the Raspberry Pi 5.

Features

• Based on the Hailo 8L accelerator with up to 13 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second) inferencing performance.
• Conforms to the HAT+ specification.
• Supplied pre-assembled on a Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ so ready out of the box to use with a Raspberry Pi 5.
• Fully integrated into Raspberry Pi's camera software stack.
• Supplied with a 16mm stacking header and spacers/screws to enable the M.2 HAT+ to be fitted to a Raspberry Pi 5 with the Active Cooler in place.
• The Hailo device comes fully integrated into our Raspberry Pi OS environment.
• Hailo software packages (Hailo device drivers, HailoRT, and HailoTappas) can be easily installed though our apt package manager.
• Fully integrated with our Camera software (libcamera/ rpicam-apps / picamera2).
• Multiple demos integrating neural network processing using the Hailo hardware in our rpicam-apps postprocessing framework
• Additionally, Hailo also provides some advanced AI demos for the Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ fits snuggly in the case designed for the Waveshare POE board with enough space to install the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler. Just insert the M.2 HAT instead of the POE HAT.
