Razer Lachesis
Class: High End/Gaming
The Razer Lachesis laser gaming mouse has found a home in the high end gaming price point at $79.99. Though the price may seem high, the performance of this mouse, especially for gaming, makes it well worth the price. The Lachesis is certainly competitive at this price point given the features that come in this mouse.
Performance
The Lachesis performed outstandingly well through the gaming sessions, as well as the everyday use that it saw over the month I have been using it. The response times are quick, making first person shooters a pleasure to play with a mouse. The on the fly adjustment is very useful for in game adjustments that would normally require exiting into windows to perform the advanced adjustments of the mouse. The arrangement of buttons is laid out nicely and is convenient for use both in gaming and for everyday use.
Reviewer's Opinion
Having been a hardcore gamer for over twenty years, I have had my share of mice and various other controllers. Many have been above par, others not worth their weight in gold. The Razer Lachesis, however, has been one of the most responsive and accurate mice that I have ever had the pleasure of using. During heavy firefights online in Call of Duty 4 and Crysis, I have had little trouble in remaining accurate with my aim, at all sensitivity settings. With the laser dpi maxed out and the sensitivity two thirds of the way up, I need to have very little movement in my hand and the mouse, allowing me extended playing time with little fatigue in my hand or wrist.
I had switched to controllers several years back because the mice just couldn’t provide me with the accuracy and response I was looking for, until now. The Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi mouse has really pushed the envelope of gaming mice with a strong product that remains responsive and accurate through all dpi and sensitivity settings. The Razer Lachesis is a phenomenal mouse that is well worth the $79.99 fee for admission, with a full feature set that will satisfy the most demanding of gamers.
