Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. 384pp, frontis and 12pp other half tone photo ills., dark blue cloth lettered in gilt at spine, coloured decorated dust-wrapper, the life story of Douglas Bader, the legless RAF fighter pilot, incl. his accident, battle to return to flying, enthusiasm for 'the big wing', capture, escape attempts and confinement in Germany (eventually Colditz) until the end of the war, gilding still bright at spine, and book has very little discolouration, slight fading at head. dust-wrapper: not price clipped, very lightly rubbed at extremities, one clean tear to the top near the spine of 2cm Water tear (Looks like a coffee mug spill). Light foxing to end of text block.
