STUNNING LARGE HAND-CRAFTED BALTIC AMBER AND '925' STERLING SILVER RING

This is a really exciting piece - modern, organic and hand-crafted in Poland it makes a statement in every way! Two irregular marquis-cut Baltic amber cabochons form the ring head, mounted on a frame of sterling silver strands that wrap around each stone and are linked by a serpentine of silver that holds the two stones together. The shank is also a silver strand that loops back on itself, forming an incomplete circle that hugs the finger before swooping back to join the ring head. The combination of the large, solid 'stones' with the curling silver strands that seem weightless is very unusual and totally captivating. The colours! The pictures show the real colours of the baltic amber quite accurately. As you can see they both have loads of fascinating inclusions and the deep honey hue with the glowing yellow is absolutely delicious! It is increasingly difficult to secure big Baltic amber pieces in jewellery; people are buying them as an investment. This is a conversation-starter of a ring - very large at 30mm x 28mm, and heavy at 9,84grams. Just stunning.
