Rear 1855 LARGE ENGLISH BLACK LEATHER WRITING BOX / SLOPE / LAP DESK

A great large traveling writing box. Really hard to find, with the original journals. The first entry date was from 1855. The box  is covered in black embossed  leather with a flush  brass carrying handle.

The top removable tray has a variety of compartments including a rose wood pen tray and lidded box.

Very rear the reverse side of the pen pad has a weekly memorandum.

it comes with the original journal and cash book. first entry made in 1855

This belonged  to a H.H Rens as stamped in the book and engraved on the carrying handle

size is 34cm wide 24cm depth and 15cm height
