1 Recce Diver badge was later renamed Army Diver badge, because the course was not designed for 1 Recce operators only.

The Army Diver badge was used from 1972 until the last serving member left the service. In later years, the badge was replaced with the 4 Recce AD badge. Operators had to do a conversion to be awarded the 4 Recce Attack Diver badge with the great white shark and trident fork.

These chrome badges were also known as Attack Diver badges, 1st type.

The badge is in excellent condition. All original pins still intact.
