PROPOSED INSIGNIA FOR SOUTH AFRICAS ELITE SPECIAL FORCE RECCE COMMANDOS. THESE DATE FROM 1979 WHEN THE SF RECCE COMMANDERS WORE AEQUIRING THEIR OWN UNIT INSIGNIA DISTINCTIONS. ALL THE BERET INSIGNIA WERE NOT ADOPTED, ALTHOUGH BOTH TYPES OF BERET INSIGNIA WERE MANUFACTURED AND TRIALS UNTERTAKEN.
