A very good hardcover book; no dustjacket, as issued.

Undated publication but book has a frontispiece protrait of Lewis Byron dated 1962.

Front end-paper has inscription detailing Major Byron's death.

Loosely inserted are: note detailing his death; handwritten letter from Byron's wife to a family friend, Dorothea, dated 12-12-63; and a newspaper cutting from the Highway Mail Special Edition dd January 23rd 1981 recording the varied and colourful career of Major Lewis Byron.

Pages are lightly age tanned.

Paperblock slightly cocked.

Fore-edge and top edge untrimmed.
