Unlike flatter moulds, this piece features a recessed central section with raised internal elements - creating depth, shadow, and a sense of structure that feels intentionally composed. The design draws the eye inward, giving it a more contained, almost cabinet-like presence on the wall.
Etched along the side is "Simco Eng Brackets Drg WK 416," linking the piece directly to its original engineering drawing and function. Additional markings include the pale yellow "T2," bold hand-painted "2-B," and smaller workshop notation "W679/18E," all contributing to its authentic industrial narrative.
The red-painted surface shows rich wear and variation, with exposed wood and softened edges revealing decades of use. Subtle marks, scratches, and tonal shifts enhance the layered construction, giving the piece both visual depth and historical texture.
