A bold and sculptural piece of industrial history, this original engineering pattern mould was used approximately 40 to 60 years ago in the production of mining machinery components.
Finished in its original red factory paint, the surface carries authentic wear and patina - subtle marks and imperfections that speak to its working life in an engineering environment.
The design is defined by two raised circular "spring cap" forms, connected by a solid linking arm. This creates a strong sense of movement and balance, giving the piece a dynamic, almost mechanical rhythm.
Etched into the circular elements is "Simco Spring Cap 2024/8", while the bold handwritten "4A" anchors the piece with its original factory marking.
Crafted from solid wood with metal fittings and mounting points, it retains the rugged authenticity of its industrial origins.
