This ornately decorated brass case features the Royal Arms and proudly states "By Royal Letters Patent," signifying its unique patented design. The container holds its original contents: 16 knitting needles (four sets of four pins each), with sizes ranging from No. 14 (2mm) to No. 17 (1.4mm).
The innovative design of the case includes a divided cross-section with five sectorsone blocked and four open. The cap at the end of the tube has a rotating piece that aligns with the sectors to securely open or shut the case, ensuring each size of needle is stored separately and remains organized.
