When last did you see such a beautiful set of pristine and valuable files? Probably never.
The files themselves are incredibly rare and the handles probably even more so. In my best estimation, these were made in the late 1800s, possibly the early 1900s late 1800s is more likely.
The 2 files with handles affixed are very old Nicholson files (made in USA), the other is an F B Tools file (made in England). The latter is a curved rasp with a hollow back.
The two metal handles are identical they are stamped Wells Unbreakable File Handle. A. C. Wells & Co. Patent. They also both have a number 2 stamped on them.
Enough said hopefully the photos do adequate justice to whats on offer as they are intended to provide an overview of condition.
[Note the size of the files is shown in the last photo, which includes a normal size large file on top of the ruler, to give perspective. The file used to give perspective is not part of this sale].
Note to overseas buyers: Price excludes overseas postage. I am prepared to quote for postage costs, and insurance if required, which will be at the buyers cost.
