REDUCED! Solid Gold Ring. Large Blue Topaz set in 9 carat gold Late Art Deco. Stunning Bling Ring!

The weight of the ring is over 7 grammes, so I would estimate the gold weight to be around 5 grammes. The retail value of 9 ct gold is about R170 per gramme at the moment so if I am right the gold value alone is around R845, excluding the styling and the stone.

Lovely solid rose gold work. The large blue topaz is an old stone and has good colour,  though it is chipped on the lower part of the side, as per photo, but this unusual ring will still look good when worn as is and make a trendy, elegant, and bold statement! Like a showy bling costume piece but with quality of real gold and a real stone!

The topaz is 2.5 cm (1 inch) in length! . The ring is 1.8 cm in diameter or size P.

The gold mark is KAR (maker's mark)  9 ct , sign of leopard (London mark) and an "O" (1949). So the piece is gold, handmade in London just after the war, probably originally an engagement ring.

The style is late Art Deco with geometric shapes on the stone and the large solid gold base.
