This standing crowned buddha performs the abhayamudra gesture. His hand is held palm parallel to the side of the body, fingers extended. Literally, the 'seal' of protection, absence and fear. This dates back to Central Thailand, sixteenth century.
An original statue for Verse and Art, copyrighted by Veronese, 2001, this buddha is from the Myths and Legends Dynasty. Stands 32cms high, weight 820 grams.
