ORIGINAL RARE MARCUS DESIGN WALL PLAQUE – SOLDIERS BACK TO QUEEN VICTORY ENGLAND

On offer is a rare original plaster wall plaque made in 1975 which bears the original label. The side of the plaque is marked H MARTON MARCUS DESIGN and bears the year 1975. This can only be seen with a loupe.

The circular plaque shows a medieval scene of knights returning victorious to the castle and their queen in England after battle. It is based on a 14th century ivory carving.

The plaque is in very good vintage condition. The colours are vibrant and the scene is unspoilt.

Marcus Designs were the concept of David Morton who lived in Bottesford in Leicestershire and made decorative plaques mainly of medieval design from the late 1960's -till sometime in the 80's.

This is a distinctive item that will look great on display in the living room or study.
