Hi there! Today i am selling this cool guitar.
It is a nice 2008 Squier Bullet strat with some differences.
It was a black strat to start with. I decided to make it look different and this is what i got...
I think you can call it a Relic job. I was tired of the normal, sterile, perfect look of guitars and tried to change it up a bit.
in terms of electronics, i modified it a bit so you can get more tone out of it.
The second tone pot that normally controls the tone of the middle pickup is now a series/parallel blend pot and the other tone knob is a Master tone control that works on all three pickups.
When the tone knob is turned fully clockwise, then you have your normal 5 position, 5 sound strat. When you turn the knob fully anti-clockwise position and with your pickup selector switch on the Bridge position, you get the bridge and middle pickups in series (higher output humbucker-ish sound). With the pickup selector in the Neck pisition, you the the neck and middle pickups in series. The three positions in between only activates the middle pickup with no change to it's sound.
I have found that playing with the Series\Parallel blend knob in between the Series and Parallel positions has some changes to the sound that is different from the standard strat sounds and Series sounds.
That is that... A very cool and very versatile instrument that not only sounds very good, but looks amazing.
This "Relic" look does include some scratches and bumps on the body. I did some rougher sanding. I let it fall and left some of the marks from removing the thick poly finish that it had. It has a much thinner poly coating. A little more resonant now.
I aimed not to make it look too perfect.
I hope that you like it. I spent quite a bit of time on this and i think i made it better.
