The wireless trigger flash unit, which looks like a traditional flash but emits only near-infrared light to trigger the slave strobes.

(Infrared Remote Slave Trigger) can be hosted on the hotshoe of your camera, as shown in the picture. It sends out a near-infrared flash to trigger your slave strobes. Near-Infrared is a "light beam" with a frequency just below the color red so it would not affect your film and will not interfere with your strobes. Most strobes/moonlights today have built-in remote slave sensors that accepts an optical beam with frequency down to near-infrared for triggering, so no more hotshoe/PC cord, just go with high-tech wireless now! It uses 4 AA batteries (not included), has ON/OFF switch, test button and ready light. It also has a PC socket which can be connected with a PC cord (included in this sale) to a camera that uses PC triggering instead of hotshoe. We have tested with most strobes and slaves, it works great! There is no need for any kind of special receiver.

(Please note: most camera has a standard hotshoe. If your camera does not have a hotshoe or has one but not standard such as Minolta, the IR remote trigger will still work as long as your camera has a PC sync socket. This trigger comes with a PC sync cord that can connect the trigger to your camera. So you can fire the trigger via PC sync cord.
