Transceiver RS232, 2 Drivers, CMOS, 4.5V-5.5V, DIP-16Product OverviewThe HIN232CPZ is a ±15kV ESD-protected +5V powered RS-232 Transmitter/Receiver.The HIN202E family of RS-232 transmitters/receivers interface circuits meet allEIA high-speed RS-232E and V.28 specifications and are particularly suited forthose applications where ±12V is not available. A redesigned transmitter circuitimproves data rate and slew rate, which makes this suitable for ISDN and highspeed modems. The transmitter outputs and receiver inputs are protected to ±15kVESD (Electrostatic Discharge). They require a single +5V power supply andfeature onboard charge pump voltage converters which generate +10 and -10Vsupplies from the 5V supply.
