Product OverviewThe HIN202CBZ is a RS-232 Transmitter/Receiver Interface Circuit meets all ElARS-232E and V.28 specifications and is particularly suited for thoseapplications where ±12V is not available. It requires a single 5V power supplyand feature onboard charge pump voltage converters which generate 10V and -10Vsupplies from the 5V supply. The family of devices offers a wide variety ofRS-232 transmitter/receiver combinations to accommodate various applications. Itfeatures a low power shutdown mode to conserve energy in battery poweredapplications. The drivers feature true TTL/CMOS input compatibility, slewrate-limited output and 300W power-OFF source impedance. The receiver can handleup to ±30V input and has 3 to 7kW input impedances.
