The deviceperforms supply voltage conversions from positive to negative for an input rangeof 1.5V to 12V resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -12V. Afrequency boost pin has been incorporated to enable users to achieve loweroutput impedance despite using smaller capacitors. Only two non criticalexternal capacitors are needed for charge pump and charge reservoir functions.The ICL7660S can be connected to function as voltage doubler and will generateup to 22.8V with 12V input. It can also be used as a voltage multipliers orvoltage dividers.
