DC/DC Adjustable Charge Pump Voltage Converter, 1.5V to 12V in, -12V to -1.5V/45mA out, DIP-8Product OverviewThe ICL7660SCPAZ is a Super Voltage Converter, monolithic CMOS voltageconversion ICs that guarantee significant performance advantages over othersimilar devices. They are direct replacements for the industry standard ICL7660offering an extended operating supply voltage range up to 12V, with lower supplycurrent. A frequency boost pin has been incorporated to enable the user toachieve lower output impedance despite using smaller capacitors. The ICL7660Sperform supply voltage conversions from positive to negative for an input rangeof 1.5 to 12V, resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5 to -12V. Onlytwo non-critical external capacitors are needed, for the charge pump and chargereservoir functions. The ICL7660S can be connected to function as a voltagedoubler and will generate up to 22.8V with a 12V input.
