This replica non-firing Colt M1855 rapid firing rifle was developed in 1855 and the originals are now very rare and expensive. The Colt 1855 was used extensively during the Civil War. The rifle measures 42" overall and the cylinder revolves when the hammer is cocked. Its features include an antique gun metal finish wiht a wood fore-stock and shoulder stock. Makes a perfect addition for your Civil War or Old West collection. Also a great stage prop and display gun.

June 1865 U. S. Army Ordinance Board recommends the adoption of the .58 caliber 1855 Springfield Rifle and the hollow base Minié Ball (or bullet) to Secretary of War Jefferson Davis. This would be the most common firearm during the Civil War.

Shipping to SA will cost 400ZAR
