Replica Vietnam War era ChiCom AK Rig

We cannot be certain when this particular ChiCom rig was made, as these rigs are still made and issued today. 

But it is the same kind used by Viet Cong (VC) and North Vietnamese Army regular troops (NVA) during the entire Vietnam conflict. The rig holds 3 x 30rd AK47 Magazines, with 2 x Grenade pouches and 2 x utility pouches. The pouches have a simple toggle closure and the entire rig is made from heavy duty canvas. 

Despite it's simple appearance, these rig's stood the test of time and the lightweight set up suited the guerrilla warfare style of the VC, which ultimately proved to be superior to the regular tactics of the US led forces during the war. This is a great addition to any militaria collection, or if you are so inclined can also be used still...
