REPRODUCTION kiko cap - Rhodesian camo BUT Zimbawean issue cloth

Here we have on auction a REPRODUCTION Rhodesian camo (fantacy item!) kiko cap - these were often made up in the units at the local tailors and were popular amongst some units eg Selous scouts and Rhod SAS - the latest selous Scout book has a pic of one near the end (the page escapes me now).

THIS PARTICULAR ITEM WAS MADE FROM A PIECE OF OFF-CUT ZIMBAWEAN ARMY ISSUE "RHODESIAN" COPY CAMO AS CURRENTLY ISSUED AND WORN IN ZIM - THIS IS A ONCE-OFF AND UNIQUE PIECE!

The next TWO photos (for comparison purposes only) show 2 x kikos made by me, top is one made from very early post-independence Rhod camo as ordered and used by the newly established Zim army and the bottom kiko is the item on auction here;

The following photos show the Zim Rhod camo kiko actually on auction, please note that in the current issue Zim "Rhod" camo the brown appears as a more reddish "ox-blood" colour than the original dark brown and that the Zim current issue Rhod camo is also of a diff weight of fabric and weave when compared to original Rhod cloth (more a cotton twill) and even the early Zim "Rhod" camo inherited early days post-Independence .........
