REPRODUCTION kiko cap - Rhodesian camo (re-purposed original cloth used)

Here we have on auction a REPRODUCTION Rhodesian camo (fantacy item!) kiko cap - these were often made up in the units at the local tailors and were popular amongst some units eg Selous scouts and Rhod SAS - the latest selous Scout book has a pic of one near the end (the page escapes me mow).

The following pic show a period kiko custom made for use by a Rhodesian soldier (photo taken from a recent Selous Scout book and for comparison purposes);

note the ribs to the top panel used in sewing the kiko above.

I have only made a very small batch/ number of these Rhod camo kikos and they will not all be sold (most are gifts of free "promotional" items from my side to loyal clients!) - one should also remember that any such "original" Rhod camo kikos were never official issue and therefore all were in effect custom made.

This particular Rhod camo kiko cap was made from re-purposed original camo material re-claimed from a badly damaged shirt which was beyond repair and would otherwise have been thrown away!
