THE GALLERY IS SOLID STRONG BRASS MESH AND THE TOP IS PART WOOD AND PART BLACK GLASS... THIS NEEDS A LITTLE TLC BUT IS STURDY AND STRONG. NO BREAKS OR CHIPS BUT SOME SCRATCHING ETC TO THE BLACK ON THE GLASS
