Offered for sale is a rare, stylish and collectible 1950's porcelain figurine of a French poodle by British ceramic company, Foley Bone China. The design is by Donald Brindley. This is a slip cast porcelain figurine with transfer printed images/decals and hand painted detail in black and colours. The images on the body of the poodle are iconic landmarks of Paris including the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge ,Lido can-can dancers, and poodles, interspersed with starburst patterns suggesting fireworks or streetlamps. The rather haughty looking poodle is elaborately coiffeured with tightly wound curls. The piece is in good condition.
