Offered for sale is a collectible , hard to find ,1970's vintage Executive desk toy called a Newtons Cradle. These items were de rigueur high fashion must haves for the upwardly mobile smart business executive's desk in the 1970's. This piece was purchased from the very trendy Plus1 Interior Design store based in the Carlton Centre,in its time the most exclusive decorator and interior design store in Johannesburg. The piece comprises a chromed metal frame and five weighted chromed balls suspended on slender nylon strands. Newtons Cradle is a device which demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy using a series of swinging spheres. When one sphere at the end is lifted and released it strikes the stationary spheres, transmitting a force through the stationary spheres that pushes the last sphere upward .

Postage is R100 via Postnet or courier ;alternatively collect from Emmerantia Jhb.
