Offered for sale is an elegant mid century modern Rosenthal Studio Line set of 6 stoneware serving plates , probably dating to the 1970's. The plates are smaller than a standard size dinner plate and larger than side plates so would be ideal for serving small meals, salads or snacks. The design is crisp and timeless with an unusual form - a circular inner with an elliptical and slightly raised outer rim highlighted with a border/trim of bead like dots and a hand painted double band of chocolate brown. The plates are marked on the rear with the Rosenthal Studio Line stamp and and a brown facsimile signature stamp handgemalt ie hand made.
