Only the tape deck is not running a cassette but can almost assure you that it's the rubber band that's worn and needs replacing - rubber band is usually the first thing to go as they become brittle over time and snap / break
When you press play you can hear there's power but like I said I think it's the rubber band so nothing to turn the cassette
Unit is really clean for age and that includes the battery compartment
