A large ceramic fruit bowl, interior with a matte sandy bubbled-lava glazed ground, over-glazed
with a glossy turquoise and white circular geometric design, exterior a glossy mottled brown.


MARKS:

Base impressed: Austria and number 1075-31.

AUSTRIAN vs WEST GERMAN CERAMICS:

Mark Hill is of the opinion that typically West German ceramics marked Keramos Austria were
actually made by Carstens Keramik of Tönnieshof, West Germany in the period just after WWII.
