Purified Water is a basic right.
Sure you can boil off harmful bacteria but what about the chemical compounds and heavy metals? Sadly, most of our tap water is chlorinated and treated. But there is only so much the municipality can do for you. In the US a water purification unit is a standard fitment in new homes.

Filtration Process :
Filter #1
The spun polypropylene filter removes sand and sediment, clay, some metals, silt and particulate matter. It also serves to protect all other filters following this.
Filter #2
The Granular Activated Carbon filter removes Chlorine, harmful chemicals, synthetic detergents, as well as various other contaminants.
Filter #3
The pressure of the inlet causes water to flow through the carbon block where a further filtration takes place to reduce or eliminate a wide range of contaminants.
Filter #4
A 0, 0001 Micron Reverse Osmosis Membrane eliminates heavy metals, cyanide, arsenic, radio active materials etc. between 95-99.99%TDS. It separates the pure water and the balance flows to a waste pipe connected to your closest drain outlet.

Post filter, Removes odours, chlorine and bacteria and gives taste to the water.

Ultra violet filter : eliminates bacteria including staphylococcus and salmonella
