RF Elements AH90WB Wideband 90 Degree Asymmetrical Horn Antenna
6 GHz Horn Antennas With Wideband Performance
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas are designed to cover both 5 GHz and 6 GHz unlicensed bands. They provide unique asymmetrical beam shape and are equipped with our proprietary game-changing TwistPortTM waveguide connector. 6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas are the evolution of breakthrough award winning 5 GHz Asymmetrical Horn TP Antennas. They provide substantial improvements in wideband performance, new features and brand new industrial design.
Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide excellent noise rejection, network scalability and throughput increase in more than a 2.000 MHz wide band of operation(!) which is unheard of. Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas re-define sector antenna performance for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP) networks.
Future Proof: Covering both 5 and 6 GHz Unlicensed Bands!
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide more than 2,000 MHz wideband of operation covering whole 5 and 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum! Such a wide working band provides high level of investment protection and flexibility in terms of future deployments.
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB antennas excel for wideband application requiring both 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands to be covered by a single antenna. Just pair them with appropriate wideband TPA feed and you will get the best horn antenna on the market.
New 6 GHz WB horn antennas also provide great performance when paired with any of our narrowband 5 GHz or 6 GHz TPA. This versatility makes them a future proof investment covering deployment scenarios in both 5 and 6 GHz unlicensed bands.
Unique Asymmetrical Beam of the Horn Antenna
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas have unique beam shape. The beam cross-section in bore sight is elliptical: it is wide in azimuth and narrow in elevation plane. This beam shape provides wide coverage pattern with increased antenna gain. The beam shape reminds one of a standard automotive fog light.
Stable Gain and Antenna Beam Patterns
The beam patterns and the antenna gain of our new 6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB antennas are well balanced over the whole 2.000 MHz wide working frequency band for both H and V polarization! To achieve the uniformed antenna beam patterns in such a wide working band is an extremely difficult task even for the best antenna engineers. With 6 GHz Asymmetrical Horns WB, our engineers have substantially re-defined the standards for wideband horn antenna beam performance. This level of antenna performance opens for new opportunities and deployment strategies that are unique to RF elements 6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas.
Virtually No Side Lobes
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas have naturally depressed side lobes: they focus substantial part of the energy into a single main beam. The side lobes are either absent or attenuated to the point they are "invisible" for WISP radios. Elimination of side lobe radiation enables excellent noise immunity of 6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas and unlocks for the new levels in network scalability, cluster density and channel repeat.
Unique Coverage Pattern
Mainstream patch array sector antennas have radiation pattern extremely wide in azimuth and extremely narrow in elevation plane. Increased gain is often attractive for WISPs, but such an extreme beam pattern provides multiple disadvantages in most of the deployments. Increased gain in a very wide beam with additional array inherent sidelobes opens for collecting of increased amount of RF noise. Vertically narrow coverage pattern brings also challenges with null fill. If an AP is deployed on an elevated tower, customers too close to the tower suffer from low AP signal level. Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide best of both worlds: valuable extra degrees in elevation beam width are shrinking the null zone while preserving increased gain for long range performance.
Breakthrough Scalability
RF elements® 6 GHz Horn Antennas provide extraordinary scalability options. WISPs can multiply throughput with dividing wide sectors into multiple narrower sectors. RF elements Horn antennas are essential part of any WISP tool box.
TwistPortTM Connector
6 GHz Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas feature feature our industry-changing TwistPortTM connector, a proprietary quick-locking waveguide port. TwistPortTM is virtually lossless: with radios built according to our Reference design, there are no coaxial RF connectors or RF cables that cause measurable signal loss. Connecting TwistPortTM is brilliantly simple - "twist and lock" - all done with one hand! Wide set of TP Adaptors (TPA) allow to connect third party radios.
