Expected functionality of item: Fix the lock to the inside of cabinet. Close it. And use ID card to touch outside of cabinet, its lock should click and unlock the door. 

Open box  however the unit appears to have never been installed and all parts appear to be present. 

Requires 2 AA batteries which are not included.

Lightly tested to see if the lock functions and the tag does seem to release the lock fine. That said the product is sold as is with no guarantees.
