Often nicknamed "Mini Monstera", the Rhaphidophora tetrasperma brings that iconic split-leaf look in a smaller, faster-growing form. Its glossy, fenestrated leaves climb quickly and respond beautifully to training on a trellis or moss pole, making it ideal for plant lovers who love lush, vertical displays. Unlike a true Monstera, this one stays more compact and is much speedier to grow. A brilliant choice for statement greenery without taking over your entire room.
Pot size: 14cm
Botanical name: Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma
Commonly known as: Mini Monstera
Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, affectionately known as the "Mini Monstera", is not a Monstera at all but it delivers all the style with none of the sprawling bulk. Native to Thailand and Malaysia, this tropical aroid is prized for its deeply fenestrated, glossy leaves that look like a downsized Monstera deliciosa. Its compact growth and vigorous climbing habit make it perfect for smaller interiors where vertical interest is key.
Given support, such as a moss pole or trellis, it'll take off in no time, producing lush foliage as it climbs. Its adaptability and quick growth make it a favourite for both beginners and experienced collectors alike.
Light:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate some lower light but may become leggy. Avoid harsh afternoon sun which can scorch its leaves.

🌡 Temperature & Humidity:
Thrives in warm, humid conditions. Ideal temperature range is 1827°C. It appreciates higher humidity, but adapts well to most indoor environments.
🪴 Soil & Repotting:
For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or you can create your own potting mix using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil combined with Perlite. When repotting, consider using Bark Chips to increase airflow around the roots.
🌱 Fertiliser:
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a controlled release fertiliser or supplement with an organic fertiliser for a gentle boost. Reduce feeding in winter.
🐛 Pests & Problems:
Generally pest-resistant, but keep an eye out for spider mites and mealybugs. If needed, treat with a gentle insecticidal spray. Browning edges can indicate low humidity or inconsistent watering.
