Description: Rhinephyllum muirii is a perennial miniature flowering mesemb forming clumps of many shoots.
Stem: Enlarging basally to form a fleshy caudex.
Leaves: Inclined, ovoidal-trigonoidal, green but reddening in full sun and during cold weather with small whitish tubercles in upper half, margins and keel with a white cartilaginous edge.
Flowers: Opening at night, solitary and apical on a short pedicel up to 12 mm long, yellowish-white up to 14 mm across. They have an intense scent reminding of 'peardrops'
