RHODESIA 1909 RARE ISSUE PERFORATED SPECIMEN USED TO £1 -                                                    There was a handwritten note with this as follows:

"COLONIE DU GABON" -Cancellation applied by the local postal authorities on stamps received by them from the International Bureau of the Universal Postal Union. These stamps were perforated Specimen by the printers prior to forwarding to the UPU and were cancelled on receipt in Gabon. Only two sets of 'each' denomination exists thus. We are offering it as received.
