Also included is a copy of his citation for the MFC by Lieutenant General JSV Hickman, a glowing letter of recommendation for employment by one of his superiors (which mentions, amongst other things, that he was "the first commissioned Coloured Officer in the Rhodesian Army"), as well as a copy of a letter notifying WO1 Thomas of the medal parade for his Territorial Service Medal
