This impressive, antique, sterling silver and dark blue Wedgwood, large, jasperware mug trophy was awarded by the 'SALISBURY RIFLECLUB' in Rhodesia, to 'WON BY S.T. HODKIN AUG. 1913. The mug is beautifully decorated in a white neo-classical design with the round emblem of the 'National Rifle Association' (N.R.A.) above, all in relief. It has a solid silver English hallmarked rim around the top with the mentioned 'club and winners' details engraved on it. The silver rim was made in London in 1912 by silversmiths 'Elkington & Co' (E&Co), and the base of the mug is impressed 'WEDGWOOD' and 'ELKINGTON & Co. LTD'. Other than a tiny piece of the white relief detail missing, it's in excellent condition. The mug stands 12cm high, has a base measurement of 10cm and weighs 480g.
