FULL DESCRIPTION

This item is a Rhodesian Army Staff Corps cap badge, also commonly referred to as the Rhodesian General Service Corps badge. It displays the distinctive Lion and Tusk emblem, one of the most recognisable symbols of Rhodesia.
The badge was worn by administrative and general service personnel across various branches of the Rhodesian Security Forces.
This metal pattern was used from approximately the 1940s/1950s through to the end of the Rhodesian Bush War in 1980. The Lion and Tusk originates from the British South Africa Company and later became a national emblem when Rhodesia declared itself a republic in 1970.
