Scarce Rhodesian 'BSAP Officer' Large Soapstone Bust (Signed)

This early, scarce, large Rhodesian soapstone sculpture of a 'British South Africa Police' officer bust, in uniform with his cap and insignia has been beautifully hand-carved in lovely detail. It is signed on the side of the one shoulder 'D. SANDE'. Under the peak of the cap there appears to have been be a small crack along a stone flaw, possibly when it was sculpted, and its either had a repair or its been sealed to stop it going any further and other than two tiny chips on the peak, it's in great condition. The bust measures 21,5cm x 16cm, stands 21,5cm high and weighs a heavy 6,2kg.
