An EXCELLENT example of Rhodesian Bush War War, 1970s ' The Rhodesia Regiment' D2 Coy Mtoko Ceramic Tankard. This piece appears to be in a VF+ state , with detailed Applied Graphic Design Relief of Unit Badge on obverse & Coy Insignia on reverse. All nomenclature present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Ceramic vessel is complete with good structural integrity & handle securely mounted. Glazed surface finish is smooth and displays no crazing. All manufacturer's markings are present and legible on base underside.
This piece would have been made available for private-purchase by members of the Rhodesia Regt. - who were part of D2 Coy , otherwise known as , " 15 - 15 / 15 - Mountain Goat" during Operations in Mtoko during 1978.
