Up for sale is a selection of Rhodesian bush war equipment. Some of the equipment is standard military issue while I assume the other equipment was privately purchased. Please study the description as well as photographs provided carefully, since some of the equipment is in a field used condition. The kit for sale consists of the following:
Rhodesian issue large backpack. The pack is in field used condition and has a large tear on the top flap. The foam padding for one of the shoulder straps is also missing and the shoulder straps are tied to the D-rings of the backpack. The rest of the backpack appears to be in good condition.
Also included is an original Puma bowie knife. The knife as well as the sheath is in field used condition.(Please refer to pictures.) The knife sheath has taken a beating and it appears that the previous owner painted the sheath green.
Next up is a original Rhodesian issue tin mug with the lettering GS appearing on the bottom of the mug. The abbreviation GS is for Government Service. The mug is in field used condition. Also included is an original issue aluminium plate. Although the plate seems not to have been used, it is dented from being packed among other gear.
A standard issue water bottle (in field used condition) as well as a gas cooker is also included. I can only assume that the gas cooker was a privately purchased item. I have bought and attached a gas canister to the stove. It works perfectly. The gas canister will have to be removed for shipping though.
