Bit of History ;The Rhodesian Police Force (known as British South Africa Police from 1899-1994) is the national police force of  It played an important role during the Rhodesian Bush War, aiding the Rhodesian Security Forces in eliminating ZIPRA and ZANU cells across Rhodesia. From 1994 onwards the police force saw a large demilitarisation as the Rhodesian government no longer saw a militant police force necessary due to a long lasting peace. The unit is technically part of the  but works almost completely separately from the Army and Air Force.
