"Lavhathu" means "of the people" in Venda (possibly also Kalanga), the same meaning as "reVanhu" in Shona.

This could have been an area flag for the SFA's assembled in an area i.e. Southern or SW Matabeleland.

It is known that Pfumo reVanhu, the common name, was also called Umkonto wa Bantu in Ndebele - it is not known if any Ndebele flags also exist.

No makers tag on this flag. It is a single sided, but full size flag. Extensive research did not elicit any more information.
