Rhodesian 'Tsanga Lodge Convalescent Centre' Wall Plaque

This original, early, scarce, wooden Rhodesian 'Tsanga Lodge Convalescent Centre' wall plaque is in great condition and measures 18cm x 14,5cm x 2cm.

NOTE: 'Tsanga Lodge' was opened in October 1976 high in the Inyanga Mountains as an army rehabilitation centre, which proved to be a powerful and inspiring success story. It was a wonderful project, run by Dick Paget along with his wife and son, with several former patients becoming members of staff. The Pagets vision was 'a place of healing for all', with activities focused on the physical and emotional wellbeing and recovery of their residents. Dick explained his philosophy. There is 'ALWAYS SOMETHING' that can be done. He would try one thing, and if it didn't work, then he would try something else, on and on, until he found the best possible solution for everyone.
